Marilen L. Castillo

In line with the Philippine Commission on Women’s (PCW) Memorandum Circular which provides the revised guidelines for the preparation of the Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) conducted a whole-day pre-planning workshop on June 07, 2019 at the CAB Board Room. During the workshop, participants assessed the agency’s status in the implementation of its recent GAD plans and projects using the tools on Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) and Harmonized Gender Development Guidelines (HGDG). A total of 30 participants, spearheaded by the GFPS Vice Chairman Alexander Paul Rivera, reviewed its agency’s mandate and policies, and conducted group discussions and research studies on Magna Carta of Women.

Using the issued guidelines, the CAB will continue its planning on mid-July to formulate, a six (6)-year GAD Agenda which will be the basis for its annual GAD Plans and Budgets.

Ms. Gilda G. Sañosa, Head of the CAB GAD Executive Committee, ensures the participation of the Division Chiefs and senior officers in order to outline strategic CAB GAD mission, vision and goals. “We will continue to push gender-responsive programs and projects, including the priorities this year, in order to improve the integration of women for economic and social development, and to promote equality between men and women,” she stressed.
